This assay kit provides users with an end-to-end workflow to detect pathogenic Salmonella and Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) species from various food products. The GT-EZ Extraction Kit v1.0 (sold separately, contact us for packaged kit options) comprises a Research Use Only (RUO) reagent kit containing all reagents necessary for the extraction of bacterial DNA from food matrices. The GT Real-Time Salmonella and STEC Detection Assay Kit v2.0 comprises a RUO molecular reagent kit containing all primers, probes, master mix, and controls necessary for the detection of Salmonella­­ and STEC genomic DNA. The assay kit is validated for use with the GTM qPCR Master Mix (sold separately, contact us for packaged kit options).

The GT-EZ Extraction Kit v1.0 contains two extraction buffers sufficient for 96 preparations. The GT Real-Time Salmonella and STEC Detection Assay Kit v2.0 contains one pre-mixed primer-probe solution sufficient for 96 x 20 µl reactions and two positive control solutions. The GTM qPCR Master Mix comprises a ready-to-use reaction mix validated for use with the GT Real-Time Salmonella and STEC Detection Assay Kit.
