What instruments can I use with the assay kits?

Our Arbovirus assay kits are pre-validated using the QIAGEN QIAcuity® digital PCR system, as well as the Bio-Rad CFX96™ and Thermo QuantStudio 5™ RT-PCR systems with potential adaptability to other multichannel RT-PCR machines. How many samples can you test with one kit?

Each standard assay kit contains enough material for 200 reactions (digital PCR) or 100 reactions with master mix included (RT-PCR). Sample kits of 25 reactions are available upon request.

Each sample collection kit used in our testing services contains enough materials for one sample to be collected and tested.

What internal control is used?

Assays are designed to target specific arbovirus targets and contain validated positive controls to confirm amplification of all targets.

Mosquito assays contain and internal process control for the detection of mosquito RNA, mosquito internal process control (MIPC).

What are the recommended storage conditions for these kits?

PCR assay kits should be stored at -20°C.

Our testing service collection kits may be stored at room temperature until ready for use. The included ice packs need to be stored frozen for at least 8 hours prior to shipping them and the samples back to us for testing using the included priority overnight shipping.

How soon after placing an order can I expect delivery of the kits?

Once an order is placed, most assay kits are shipped within 5 business days via FedEx Priority overnight on dry ice and sample collection kits for our testing services are shipped via FedEx Ground delivery.
