The GT-Real Time WNV;DENV;ZIKV Mosquito Surveillance Assay v1.0 comprises a molecular reagent kit containing primers, probes, controls, and the master mix required for the mosquito surveillance of West Nile virus (WNV), Dengue virus (DENV), and Zika virus (ZIKV). This kit also includes an internal process control for the detection of mosquito RNA, mosquito internal process control (MIPC). The use of these kits in conjunction with the Bio-Rad™ CFX Opus™ 96 Real-Time PCR or Thermo Fisher Scientific QuantStudio™ 5 Real-Time PCR Systems allows users to monitor WNV, DENV, and ZIKV in mosquitoes.

IMPORTANT! This panel is inclusive of all 4 serotypes of DENV, and lineage 1 and 2 of WNV.

The assay kit is validated for use with the GTM qPCR Master Mix on the Bio-Rad™ CFX Opus™ 96 Real-Time PCR and Thermo Fisher Scientific QuantStudio™ 5 Real-Time PCR Systems. Other similar systems may be compatible. 

Contains enough material for 100 reactions.

IMPORTANT! This panel is intended for qualitative detection (presence/absence) of target markers in mosquito samples. It is not validated for absolute or relative quantification. If quantitative results are required, the user is responsible for establishing and validating appropriate calibration curves, controls, and performance characteristics under their specific experimental conditions. We strongly recommend the use of digital PCR or droplet-digital™ PCR for absolute quantitation.

This assay has been validated with mosquito matrices. If a wastewater matrix is intended, please use the GT-Digital™ WNV;DENV;ZIKV Surveillance Panel v1.0 for the QIAcuity® Digital PCR System (Cat# 101075).
