The GT-Fast Prep ARTIC SARS-CoV-2 Library Preparation Kit is a molecular reagent kit containing all primers and reagents for the amplification and downstream preparation of SARS-CoV-2 gRNA extracts from wastewater matrices. GT Molecular’s high-performance workflow, in combination with the ARTIC V5.3.2 NCOV-2019 panel, provides researchers with 99.7% coverage of the SARS-CoV-2 genome, ideal for variant tracking and novel variant identification while monitoring SARS-CoV-2 viral outbreaks. al outbreaks. The included GT-EZ Bind™ contains paramagnetic beads in a PEG/salt solution that bind nucleic acids, enabling efficient removal of enzymes, buffers, primers, and other contaminants that may interfere with downstream applications. This kit is optimized for use for wastewater extracts known to be positive for the presence of SARS-CoV-2, as determined by digital or real-time PCR.

Requirements

This kit has been validated for the preparation of NGS libraries using wastewater samples extracted using Promega (Maxwell® RSC Enviro TNA kit, Cat#AS1831) or CERES (CERES Nanotrap® Microbiome A Particles (Cat#44202-30); CERES Nanotrap® Enhancement Reagent 1 (Cat#10111-30); Thermo Fisher Scientific MagMAX™ Wastewater Ultra Kit (Cat#A52606) extraction workflows, please contact us for extraction workflow recommendations. This kit is designed for use with samples known to be positive for the presence of SARS-CoV-2, as determined by real-time PCR or digital PCR, with a limit of detection of 5 copies of SARS-CoV-2 per µL of extract.
