The GT Real-Time Microbially Influenced Corrosion Multiplexed Panel 1 is a molecular reagent kit containing primers, probes, controls and master mix necessary for the detection of key microbes involved in microbially influenced corrosion (MIC). The enclosed panel targets acetic acid producing bacteria (AAPB), sulfate reducing prokaryotes (SRP), highly corrosive methanogens (micH), and total prokaryotes (TPK) in one reaction. Using this kit in conjunction with the Bio-Rad™ CFX Opus 96 Real-Time PCR System, users can semi-quantify and monitor microbes associated with microbially influenced corrosion. Contains enough reagents for 96 reactions.
