The GT-Digital™ Enhanced MeV WT Wastewater Surveillance Assay v1.0 for the QIAcuity® Digital PCR System comprises a patent-pending molecular reagent kit containing all primers, probes, and controls for wastewater surveillance of wild-type (WT) measles virus (MeV). Assay solutions and appropriate controls are provided for the quantification of wild-type measles virus. The GT Enhancer™ is provided for increased sensitivity, which is critical for lower prevalence targets like measles. Through the use of this kit in conjunction with the QIAGEN QIAcuity® instrument, users can monitor wild-type measles levels.
*IMPORTANT! This assay was designed to be exclusive of the Edmonston vaccine strain of measles virus.
Assay Performance
This assay was validated in Fort Collins wastewater, where assay inhibition was found to be close to 0% when using the GT Enhancer™ and >82% when the GT Enhancer was excluded.
* Limit of detection was established using either B3 or D8 genotypes of MeV genomic RNA spiked into Fort Collins, Colorado wastewater nucleic acid extracts. Request the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more details. Additional assay metrics are provided at the end of this document.
Users should perform process validation using wastewater samples from their region and independently measure inhibition, LOD, and LOB. For guidance on this process, please email support@gtmolecular.com

Kit Contents
The GT-Digital™ Enhanced MeV WT Wastewater Assay v1.0 for the QIAcuity® Digital PCR System contains 1) pre-mixed assay solutions for detection of wild-type measles virus, 2) validated positive controls, and 3) GT Enhancer™. Each kit comes with a reagent volume sufficient for testing 200 reactions.
