GT Real-Time Total Yeast and Mold Quantification Assay + Viability + Extraction Kit

This assay kit provides users with an end-to-end workflow for the detection and quantification of Total Yeast and Mold. The GT Viability Kit comprises a Research Use Only (RUO) kit containing all reagents necessary for the removal of extracellular and non-viable cellular DNA from samples prior to extraction. The GT-Spin DNA Extraction Kit v1.0 comprises a RUO reagent kit containing all lysis and spin-based extraction reagents necessary for the isolation of plant and fungal DNA. The GT Real-Time Total Yeast and Mold Quantification Assay Kit v1.0 comprises a RUO, patent-pending molecular reagent kit containing all primers, probes, and controls necessary for the detection and quantification of all yeast and mold species defined by AOAC. The assay kit is validated for use with the GTM qPCR Master Mix.

Kit Contents

The GT Viability Kit contains viability reagent and corresponding neutralization buffer sufficient for 96 preparations. The GT-Spin DNA Extraction Kit contains bead-beating tubes, filters, columns, and five unique buffers sufficient for 96 preparations. The GT Real-Time Total Yeast and Mold Quantification Assay Kit contains one ready-to-use Master Mix, one pre-mixed primer-probe solution sufficient for 96 x 40 µL reactions, two positive control solutions, and one tube of DNase/RNase-free H2O. A workflow batch of 24 samples (4 batches per kit) is recommended.

Equipment

The GT Real-Time Total Yeast and Mold Detection PCR Kit v1.0 has been validated for use with the Bio-Rad CFX96™, CFX Opus™, Thermo Fisher QuantStudio™ 5, Agilent AriaMx™ Real-Time Systems. Other systems capable of reading FAM, HEX/VIC, Texas Red/ROX, and Cy5 fluorophores are likely compatible, but may require further optimization.
